Grangemouth Docks, Scotland
This is the one and only time I have been asked to take photographs on an industrial site! It was a great experience and I am keen to work on something similar! Grangemouth Docks lie next to the town of the same name and are close to Falkirk. Some of you may have heard of the Falkirk Wheel, which will appear in my next Photo Blog. It is open to the public and well worth a visit if you are on holiday in the area. I know the area well because I did my University Degree and Teaching Certificate between Stirling University and Callendar Park College of Education, the latter of which lay on the outskirts of Falkirk.
Anyway, the day was cold but the sun was shining, which made it ideal for the shoot! I was escorted round the site and had to wear the correct gear, including a hard hat, which was very amusing! The bloke got a bit worried when I started climbing cranes!
A great day, thoroughly enjoyed and I was very pleased with the outcome! Here are five shots from the shoot – great for publicity or hanging in the board room – and I am open to offers!
